Rosa Parks is considered the Mother of the Freedom Movement. In 1955 she courageously refused to give up her bus-seat to a white man and was arrested for it. She worked hard promoting the civil rights movement and was persecuted for it, including several death threats. However, she never gave up and never gave in. Upon her death she laid in honor at the US Capitol Rotunda.
Rosa Parks se considera la Madre del movimiento de la liberación. En 1955, ella valientemente se negó a ceder su asiento de autobús a un hombre blanco. Por esto ella fue arrestada. Ella trabajaba duro para promover el movimiento de derechos civiles, y fue perseguida por ella, algunas veces recibiendo amenazas de muerte. No obstante, ella nunca se rindió. Al morir, ella se reposó en honor a la Rotonda del Capitolio de los Estados Unidos.
